Born from racing, the Shoei X-Twelve Montmelo Marquez helmet combines Shoei’s extensive helmet building history and experience with the most advanced composite materials and the very latest helmet technology to bring you the X-12 motorcycle race helmet. Throughout Shoei's history they have always relied on the feedback from professional motorcycle racers around the world to continually innovate and improve its helmets, and everything they learned along the way has culminated in the finest race helmet Shoei has developed.
Ventilation was at the top of the priority list when the engineers at Shoei sat down to design the features of the Shoei X-12 helmet since racing environments can get blazing hot. To accomplish this, the X-12 helmet comes with five intake and ten exhaust vents to remove heat and moisture, making this helmet the most aggressively ventilated helmet Shoei has ever created. Extensive wind tunnel testing has allowed Shoei to identify optimal locations and design of intake and exhaust vents in order to maximize the airflow and the suction effect of negative air pressure at the rear of the X-12 helmet. This helmet also features new Side Extractor Vents developed by the Shoei MotoGP racing service to help increase the exraction of heat and moistore from the helmet. In addition to the Dual-Layer EPS Foam Liner, the X-12 provides the unrivaled levels of ventilation and safety that today’s professional motorcycle racers demand and expect.
