Held Steve Classic Gloves
The Steve Classic is the only glove that Held USA currently carries that is available in standard sizes, short finger sizes, and long finger sizes. The standard glove works well for most people. However, those who have hands that are thick in proportion to their overall hand size, may need a larger glove but not the longer fingers; a short finger glove may be the solution to this problem. For those with hands that are thin in proportion to their overall hand size, a glove with fingers long enough may be too loose in the palm; this is when a long finger glove could be needed. As a general comparison, the long or short finger gloves have approximately 1/4 inch shorter or longer finger length than the standard glove. If you have never noticed a problem with finger length in your gloves, you probably have common hand size proportions, and therefore the standard glove is what you would need. If you require short or long finger gloves, you are probably already aware of finger length issues. Measure your hand according to our hand size chart, and order the appropriate size glove, whether it is standard, short finger, or long finger. Our short finger sizes are called "K" sizes (Kurz means short in German). Our long finger sizes are called "L" sizes (Lange means long in German).
Be sure not to confuse our size 9 Large glove for a long finger glove; it is labeled as a 9L. The Held sizing tag has the European numbered size, plus the alpha sizing. Our size 9 is also considered a Large, and is labeled as 9L. The short or long finger gloves have a secondary tag sewn into the gloves under the main size tag.
